Launch of the Samsung Z Flip 4

Launch of the Samsung Z Flip 4

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip4, a pocket-friendly foldable device, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in August 2022. The Galaxy Z Flip4 initially has an almost identical appearance to the Galaxy Z Flip3. But if we delve a little deeper, advancements begin to take hold.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is more of an improvement over the model from the previous year than it is an innovation. It has smoother corners and smaller bezels to give off a more expensive appearance. It's still a cute small phone despite that. With the content creation tools and overall vibe of the device, Samsung is definitely catering to the younger demographic, saving the sophisticated and businesslike appearance for the
Galaxy Z Fold 4.

However, I could make the same claim for the Galaxy Z Flip 3. It was a fun phone as well, but it had several upgrades over its predecessor, including a complete redesign. What distinguishes the Galaxy Z Flip 4 then? To be completely honest, not much thus far.

As you can see from my Galaxy Z Flip 4 review in progress, I have a fairly ambivalent opinion on it. It's not the improvement over last year that I was hoping for, but it's also not a terrible phone. As I complete my impressions and receive test results, I will update this over the next few days.

However, if you look closer, you'll see that this year's Galaxy Z Flip 4 has smoother edges. Despite being shiny and therefore slippery, they nonetheless manage to offer some good grip to a phone that is already ergonomic. On this model, the camera module protrudes a little more, presumably due to the new main 12MP sensor.

Starting on August 26, you'll be able to purchase the Galaxy Z Flip 4 via Samsung or other merchants and carriers. If you already know the phone you want, you can pre-order it from Samsung right away and receive a free storage increase as well as a Silicone Ring Case or Strap Case to protect it.

Google's Pixel Buds Pro are now available

The Pixel Buds Pro from Google have finally arrived

According to reviews, Google's new Pixel Buds Pro compete favorably with Apple AirPods. Due to performance concerns and a lackluster user response, Google has had a rather rocky introduction into the earbuds industry since the release of Pixel Buds in 2017. But the corporation has finally arrived with its eagerly awaited debut.

The Pixel Buds Pro are a terrific choice if you only want one set of earbuds that you can carry with you wherever you go. Like everyone else, I adore my Apple AirPods Pro, but they frequently fall out while I'm moving around, especially when I'm doing out. Although Powerbeats are excellent for athletic wear, they are a touch hefty when you're seated at your desk and difficult to quickly put on when you're on the go or taking a call.

I've yearned to discover a single set of wireless earbuds that work for all purposes since I value simplicity. The Pixel Buds Pro may hold the key. The short version is that they don't fall out of your ears, they are cozy to wear for extended periods of time, and the audio quality is comparable to other well-known wireless earbuds like Sony's WF-1000XM4 and Apple's AirPods Pro.

The fit of the Pixel Buds Pro is my favorite feature, especially when compared to AirPods. The earbuds are flush with the natural contour of your ear and don't stick out in any way. They rest on the upper shelf of your earlobe. Since the earbud's body is comprised of silicone, it will naturally stick to your skin and stay in place without feeling suctioned. The soft silicone does not cause irritation or discomfort when worn for lengthy periods of time such when working in front of a laptop for hours, unlike the hard plastic AirPods. The silicone does not become slick when wet and remains firmly in place.

Beyond the perfect fit, Google firsts include a variety of new capabilities on the Pixel Buds Pro. The most notable of these is active noise cancellation, which was conspicuously lacking in earlier Pixel Buds models. Additionally, they have a transparency setting that lets outside noise in, however this mode still muffles outside noise a little bit compared to the AirPods' transparent, crystal-clear sound. Multipoint Bluetooth connectivity that allows for easy switching between numerous devices is another noteworthy feature that is unique and not a ripoff of rivals. That means you can answer the phone without physically removing your earbuds from your laptop and re-connecting them to your phone if you're working on your laptop while listening to audio and it calls.

A custom volume equalizer that adjusts tuning as you turn the volume up or down, a voice accelerometer, and a wind-blocking mesh speaker cover designed to enhance your voice and block out background noise during phone calls round out the impressive battery life of the Pixel Buds Pro (11 hours standalone and 31 hours with the charging case). Charcoal, fog, lemongrass, and coral are the available colors.

Alexa from Amazon may soon use the voices of your lost loved ones.

Alexa from Amazon may soon use
the voices of your lost loved ones.

These are truly strange times that we are living in. Amazon has presented us to a new function where its well-known voice assistant Alexa can now mimic the speech patterns of a deceased person, which is a development right out of a dystopian near future. Yikes.

Rohit Prasad, Senior Vice President and Head Scientist of Alexa AI, expressed optimism that this new AI technology can "enrich people's lives" during Amazon's re:MARS conference. He demonstrated what it was going to sound like to the audience, and suffice it to say, it was beautiful. In the video, a young kid requests that his grandmother read him the remaining pages of a story rather than Alexa. You're aware of what transpired afterwards, no? It did.

We are undoubtedly living in the golden age of AI, where our aspirations and science fiction are becoming a reality, said Prasad. "AI can't take away that grief of loss, but it can absolutely make their memories remain. Yes, it sounds familiar because Black Mirror has used it previously. The dystopian anthology series "Be Right Back" from Netflix's second season opens with a woman learning about new technology that would let her contact a late boyfriend via voice patterns and internet conversations.

This is an improvement above previous instances of Alexa using the voices of famous people like NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal and actor Samuel L. Jackson. For the new feature, Alexa will also only require one minute of audio from the deceased. However, the new Black Mirror-inspired idea hasn't yet been made available to the general public.

2025 MAY SEE THE RELEASE OF APPLE'S FOLDABLE IPHONE

It might resemble an iPad and iPhone together.

Apple's foldable iPhone has been the subject of rumors for many years. Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst and industry insider, has revealed that the much-anticipated product from the tech giant could show up as early as 2025.

It's clear that last year's predictions about Apple's release of a foldable iPhone in 2024 need to be revised, the expert said. "At the earliest, Apple may introduce its first foldable gadget in 2025, which may be a foldable iPad or a combination of iPad and iPhone.

Apple is reportedly interested in a 20-inch foldable of some kind, even if a product is still four to five years away. According to the source, there is desire in folding laptops of the greatest size to yet, roughly 20 inches, which we are currently exhibiting Apple in our roadmap for.

With a notebook with a full-size keyboard when folded and a monitor when not folded and utilized with an external keyboard, a product of this size may give rise to a new category for Apple. At that size, it might also support resolutions as high as UHD/4K. However, the time span is probably 2026 or 2027 rather than 2025.
