The iPhone 14 could be released in September.
So Far, Here's What We Know
Customers will have access to a bigger screen on the iPhone 14.
According to Bloomberg, who cited insiders, Apple is planning a Sept. 16 debut for the iPhone 14 series, which is anticipated to introduce a big-screen option for the non-pro model.
Consumers will have access to a larger screen on the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 without having to pay the highest price, which is now held by Pro Max versions. The 6.7-inch Pro Max and the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and 14 Pro will remain in production, while Apple will eliminate the small.
While the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will have a pill-shaped cutout for the Face ID sensors and a punch hole for the selfie camera, the standard iPhone 14 models will keep the notch at the top of the screen, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who has a history of reporting on upcoming Apple releases based on insider tips.
Upgraded CPUs, a 48-megapixel wide camera, as well as 12-megapixel telephoto and ultra-wide lenses, will also be included with the pro models. According to Bloomberg, the non-pro models will feature the same camera configuration as the iPhone 13.
According to Bloomber data, approximately half of Apple's sales are made up of iPhones. The 14 series will be released as consumers deal with a slowing global economy and skyrocketing inflation two years after the COVID-19 epidemic.
Samsung's rival Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 foldable smartphones were released in early August; Apple has not yet experimented with this form factor.
